To date, the Irish in Europe Project has funded a number of projects. In 2002 it helped fund Ciaran O'Scea's research in Simancas on Irish memorials to the Spanish kings in the seventeenth century. In 2003 the project is funding research by Samuel Fannin into Irish petitions for nobility deposited in Spanish provincial archives in the early modern period.
